# Tools

Tools are individual products or tools that are deployed and used as needed, for example during maintenance work. These can be items such as ladders, pressure washers, drills or other specialised equipment. Although these tools are often deployed temporarily, it is important to manage them properly within stock management. Eye on Data makes it possible to register tools, including relevant information such as location, maintenance condition, availability and any usage history. This ensures that the right tools are available at the right moment, that their use can be planned efficiently, and that maintenance and inspections can be tracked accurately to safeguard safety and efficiency.

# Types

A tool must always be assigned to a specific tool type. This tool type contains extensive information about the type of tool, such as the seller or supplier, physical dimensions, an image for visual recognition, a URL to more specifications, price information and the unit used (for example per piece or per set). By linking tools to a tool type, a structured overview is created, which makes important data quickly accessible and consistently manageable. This results in more efficient processes for managing stock, purchasing and maintenance of tools, and therefore in a better overview and optimal use of resources.
